Location: Andheri (E), Mumbai, MH; Indore, MP

 As a Test Engineer you will be responsible for planning and implementing of tests that prove the functional and non-functional requirements of the system.

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform functional, stress, integration and regression testing based on product release requirements

•  Design, develop and improve test plans and cases

•  Design and develop test automation scripts

•  Identify, isolate and document bugs clearly and concisely in the bug tracking database

•  Manage multiple deliverables against aggressive deadlines

• Testing all aspects of the product/system like function/component, system, performance, regression and service.

• Work with development team to identify and capture test cases, ensure version management

• Setting up of test environments, designing test plans, developing test cases/scenarios/usage cases, and executing these cases.

• Providing feedback on usability and serviceability, trace the result to quality risk and report it to concerned people.

• Test and prove that the software meets major architectural requirements

• Prove for scalability and performance of a software

• Ensuring the quality of the system as a whole 

• Work with firmware developers and validation engineers

• Develop and automate tests for software validation

• Detect bug issues

• Prepare file defect reports and report test progress

Required Qualification:

• An understanding of the software development life cycle as well as the business approach for the product

• Excellent knowledge in testing skills (design test plan and test strategy, writing test cases, executing test cases, opening bugs, verifying bugs)

• Good communication skills

• Experience working on Enterprise Java server projects in a quality assurance role

• Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, Unix

• Database experience (SQL, Oracle)

• Application Server experience – Tomcat

• Selenium is must

• Understanding and prior involvement in all the phases of a software product lifecycle

• Up-to-date on current and best practices and technologies related to SQA

• Analytical skills

• Decision making ability

• Attention to details

• Ability to work in a team as well as an individual

• Ability to work under pressure and maintain deadlines.

• Degree in a computer discipline or relevant certification.
